The authentic taste of Ginataang Tilapia will surely be loved by everyone’s taste buds, follow this recipe I’m sure that you will fall in love with Filipino Foods once you taste it.
4 pcs tilapia, cleaned
2 cups coconut cream
1 tbsp garlic, minced
1 medium onion, finely sliced
1 thumb ginger (cut into strips)
1-2 pcs siling Haba
1 bundle Pechay
1½ tbsp. fish sauce
4 pieces tomatoes
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons cooking oil
Heat the cooking oil in a cooking pot.
Sauté the onion, garlic, and ginger in the hot oil. Once the onion becomes soft, add the fish sauce and ground black pepper. Stir.
Pour in the coconut cream and stir. Let boil and cover. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Add the Pechay and tilapia. Cover and simmer for 30 to 35 minutes. Add little water if needed.
Add the tomatoes. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
Simmer over lowest heat.
Transfer to a serving plate.
